From its inception, Hydro Scotford has maintained a strong focus on engineering. Our team of engineers closely integrates their engineering knowledge with the repair process. They are on hand at our service centers and are directly involved in the processes needed for improving the pumps. As a result of this close engineering involvement with our service centers, Hydro has pioneered many specialized repair processes, reliability improvements and engineering upgrades such as:

• - A-B Gap modification to improve rotor stability.



• - Rotor condition analysis to identify the root cause of pump problems.



• - Rotor centralization to reduce vibration, improve performance, and increase pump reliability.



• - Hydraulic Modification and Upgrades to analyze a pump’s performance to recommend modifications and upgrades and optimize a pump’s hydraulic performance.

Reverse Engineering:

Hydro’s reverse engineering technology has been developed and tested throughout our 35 years of pump repair. First and foremost, Hydro is not a parts replicator. We apply proven engineering standards to analyze each component and to restore the components to their proper fits and tolerances. We have developed our own very detailed process control procedures for reverse engineering as well as an engineering standards manual. Pumps and pump parts have infinite variations in design and complexity. HydroAire utilizes the 0.0001 +/-) and a portable arm following reverse engineering process to assure proper design (accuracy to 0.002 +/-). Hydro engineers always identify the original material and review the original component dimensional inspection to make sure it is consistent with established OEM standard. Reverse Engineering allows Hydro Scotford’s expert team to replicate and reverse engineer both simple and complex parts.
