Dupont™ Vespel® CR-6100 Hydro Scotford is an authorized distributor and installer of Dupont™ Vespel® CR-6100, a composite thermoplastic which can be used to eliminate dry run problems, as well as provide energy savings, and increase pump output. Dupont™ Vespel® CR-6100 can be installed in pumps where abrasion is not an issue, and can be used to replace stationary wear components such as case rings, throat bushings, and line shaft bearings. Efficiency increases of approximately 3-5% can be attained since clearances are typically half of what they are for conventional wear materials. Dupont™ Vespel® CR-6100 has excellent dry run capabilities and protects the rotor from dry run conditions, further avoiding costly pump repairs caused by rotor seizure. As a result of the decreased clearances, rotor stability is improved and vibration levels decreased. This product has excellent chemical compatibility and can be used in many different models of pumps, such as vertical, split case, and process pumps.
